MAC eyeshadow in Girlie

Hello lovely ladies =)

Today is all about MAC eyeshadow Girlie...

This shade is described on MAC's website as rosy-pink with subtle shimmer and I think that is a pretty perfect description. As you can see it is more of a sheen than dreaded glitter and not too shimmery at all.

I think this would be a great starter into wearing pinks because it is so soft. The finish being a Satin allows you to have good pigmentation and easy blend ability.

It works great in the crease, and can be used to give a little pop of colour to a look by placing it as a transition colour.

I don't wear this shade often enough...

MAC eyeshadow in Kid

Hey you guys =) (Always reminds me of Sloth from the Goonies xD)

Today's post is the 13th eyeshadow from my 1st palette and it is Kid...

This eyeshadow is one of my all time favourite crease/transition colours! I think on fair skin like mine you can really see why MAC refers to this shade as a beige cashmere, it looks a beige/tanned colour.
As a veluxe finish you should expect it to be rich in pigment and soft and smooth to apply. Two ticks for this!

This is alot of people's go to for the crease and outer V work, it can soften many eye shadows and change a look with a small amount. Pretty much a must have in most girls collections =)

MAC eyeshadow in Expensive Pink

Hello there! =)

Today we are looking at MAC eyeshadow Expensive Pink...

This eyeshadow is lovely. If you are afraid of pink like I used to be then this will help break you out of that fear.

As you can see, MAC states that this shade is pink with duocrome. With the gold duocrome, if you wear a paint pot such as Rubenesque underneath, it really makes the shadow lean more towards the orange-bronze side.

Another favourite of llymlrs it can look lovely in the summer by itself or worn through the crease to give a twist to a look. I would say invest if you like pinkish shades/duocrome and are feeling a little adventurous ;)

Real Techniques Core collection brushes - A review

100th post! Yay!

Well hello there! =D

Today's post is all about the core collection of brushes by Samantha Chapman for real techniques...

Real Techniques brushes officially hold a strong place in my heart. I have a few from the collection and am yet to find a dudd. I love the fact that they are synthetic but are so, so soft.

Everyone's favourite from this collection seems to be the buffing brush and I can understand why, it's amazing. Works really well with my Nars Sheer Glow giving a somewhat airbrushed look.

The contour is a great brush too, I usually opt for my MAC 109 or 168 but this is much smaller to really get under the cheek bones. Uber soft too.

The other two brushes complete the set but I wouldn't have bought them if they were sold seperately. Not one to be a downer, I have found the smaller of the two applies lipstick really well, with a slight point you can really shape your lips. The larger of the two has been my go to for under eye concealer, it fits really well.

Altogether this set is definately worth getting your hands on, for £21.99 even if you only like two brushes it's a steal

What do you think of this collection?

Cosmopolitan Blend Perfection Sponge - A review

Cosmopolitan Blend Perfection Sponge

Hello lovely readers =)

Today I am going to be reviewing Cosmopolitans answer to the beauty blender...

I picked this up after seeing it in one of moreemilks videos and curiosity got the better of me. I've heard good things about the beauty blender but have been put off due to the price - you know, £14.50 for a sponge.

This version in a third of the price at £4.99 and worth every penny in my opinion. I got the Nars Sheer Glow foundation for my birthday in January and only used it a couple of time since. A problem I had with it was that it accentuates my enlarged pores around my nose no matter what brush I used. Not a problem anymore! This sponge presses the product into my skin rather than gets brushed over the surface. Perfect.

I thought I should try this before the beauty blender because if I like this then in my opinion, there is no need to upgrade.

I clean it just like my brushes, luke warm water and baby shampoo. I love this! You must get yourself one =)

What do you think? Have you tried the beauty blender and find it better?

My makeup brush collection...

Well hello there =D

I'm inserting my latest video into today's post as I thought some of you may enjoy ;) Grab a cuppa and let me know what you think...

Too excessive? For some reason, brushes are just 'my thing'. Alot of people swoon over lipstick or foundations and while I enjoy those things, I get a mega rush when buying brushes =)

I'm hoping someone will tell me they have more than me xD

MAC eyeshadow in Mythology

Hey everybody =)

Today we are looking at MAC eyeshadow Mythology...

Ok last Lustre for a while... Haha. Mythology is gorgeous.

MAC describes this eyeshadow as copper which I can kinda see. I think it has a slight pinkish shade to it and looks amazing in the crease with Sable (to be discussed later) on the lid.

For a lustre, this give a heck o' alot of pigmentation. So much so that I had to check it actually was a Lustre. I think most skin tones can wear this colour and I love how it looks against my blue eyes =)
