Coastal Scents Metal mania palette - A review

Hey every one :)

Today's post is a review of the Coastal Scents 88 Metal mania palette. The swatches are in sets of four starting from the top left corner working downwards on each column. Hope that makes sense!

Warning! Photo heavy! :)

Here we go...

I got this palette as a gift for my birthday and I was super excited when I unwrapped it. I love all eye shadows that are shimmery/metallic so I knew this would be right up my street.

As you can see, there are so many shades to choose from. The texture of the shadows are surprisingly soft, smooth and pigmented. The colours range from highlighters to dark shades perfect for lining with.

When I say surprisingly I am referring to the fact that after using MAC eye shadows for a year straight I was a little sceptical of how good they would actually be. A very happy surprise indeed :)

When used with my Urban Decay primer potion the shadows last no less time than any other brand I use.

It's such great value for money! 88 eye shadows for around £20, amazing. I believe it was brought from Amazon.

This palette is going to get alot of love from me... You'll probably be seeing it alot in post in the future :D

I hope you found this review helpful, if you have any questions leave them below :)

Thank you for taking the time to read :)

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette - A review

Hey lovely ladies :)

Today's post is going to be a review of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I hope you'll enjoy it as I know there alot of these floating around at the moment ;)

Let's get started....

Foxy

Half Baked

Bootycall

Chopper

Tease

Snakebite

Suspect

Pistol

Verve

YDK

Busted

Blackout

Ok, so here's the run down...

I love this palette. I don't love it as much as Naked 1 as it is much cooler toned, but it is still firmly in my heart.

I felt as though Naked 1 was designed with me in mind... ;) What I mean is, it is full of colours and shades that I adore. I love anything brown, bronze, taupe, gold and shimmery... That could be taken as a direct description of the first palette.

I would describe this second palette as taupey, nude and smokey. The eye shadows are exactly the same great quality that you would expect from Urban Decay, especially if you have used/own the original naked palette. My faves from this palette so far are Tease, Busted and Snakebite.

I'm not going to go into depth about the pricing, texture and wear time because if you're reading this, you probably read my review on Naked 1 and the info and my opinions on how great this palette is, is exactly what's written there :) *link

I feel the same way about this palette as I do about it's original. Both will gets lots of use and will be often reached for when I think about using any eye shadows in my collection.

Thank you for reading :)

Estee Lauder double wear - A review

Hey lovely readers :)

Today's post is going to be a review on the Estee Lauder double wear maximum coverage foundation...

Warning! I have featured pictures that show a rather large, red blemish, to show you how well this product works. If you can get past the ick factor I think you'll find this review very helpful :)

Here we go...

Ok, so the picture taken below was with just the Jemma Kidd light as air foundation applied all over my face, nothing else...

After applying the Estee Lauder double wear directly onto the blemish with an Urban Decay karma brush and then blended around the edges...

A further away shot of the above picture...

And now I'm wearing my usual, every day full face make up...

I bought the Estee Lauder double wear foundation in December and was so excited about it. Unfortunately I gave in to the hype too quickly and didn't do any of my own research in to the product. Major drying formula. I have extremely dry skin... Doh! My fault completely but I didn't want to waste £22 so I put into good use...

I haven't really spoken about blemishes on my blog because I find people don't think it's a very attractive subject to talk about. However, I thought I would post this as the Double wear foundation has done really well for me as a concealer of my blemishes.

I have yet to get a spot that this bad boy can't make look better. I realise that there is no magic product that will ever hide my blemishes completely, but this comes pretty close :)

The great thing is that because it is foundation size, it'll last me a long time and a whole lot o' spots. I definitely recommend trying it if you suffer from blemishes/discolouration. It has helped my confidence alot :)

What are your go to concealers for spots?
